The Getting Pregnant Plan™ - Hoplink Instructions

You are ready to start promoting and marketing the book if you have signed up for Clickbank to generate your affiliate account.

Promoting “The Getting Pregnant Plan “eBook is simple. All you need to do is put your special referral links on your webpages or in your e-zine and send traffic to The Getting Pregnant Plan website. These special links are called “clickbank hoplinks” and through them, Clickbank keeps tracking the traffic you send to The Getting Pregnant Plan website and gives you credits for the e-book sales you generate.

This is why it is so important to create your hoplink correctly. You will not get any credit for the sales that you generate if you create wrong hoplink and all your efforts will be in vain.

  1. To create your hoplink correctly, simply follow these steps:
  2. The standard clickbank hoplink format is:
cgtgp1 is my vendor name (our product ID), so that looks like this:

  3. So now, all you have to do is insert YOUR clickbank affiliate nickname in the place where the xxxxxxx are located.
For example, if your affiliate nickname is alex21 (this is just an example. Always use YOUR nickname), then the hoplink would look like this:

That's all. When someone clicks through YOUR hoplink, they are redirected to and a small tracking file also called a “cookie” is dropped onto the computer of the visitor. This is a "mark" that visitor has come through your link and he or she buys the program you’ll be credited for the sale.

Note about Clickbank cookies: Clickbank uses 60 day cookies (tracking files that are dropped onto the visitor’s computer), so if the people you send to purchase that day or if they return any time within the next 60 days, you will get the commission for the sale (currently 50% commission rate of net sale, or approximately $23-$24 U.S.).

Last note: It has been tested and proven that people who realize that they are sent through an affiliate or referral link by someone who gets a commission from their sales, their guards come up and they are less likely to buy. Therefore, to prevent such a scenario, most experienced affiliate marketers hide their affiliate hoplink using a process called “link cloaking”. More about the link cloaking procedure is discussed in the Affiliate 101 section - Link Cloaking.
